East Anglia Talent – Dreadman’s Local Mix

31 March 2010 One Comment

Here at Dubsilo we are always on the look-out for upcoming local talent. So here’s a mix from me, Dreadman featuring some fresh talent from Colchester, Braintree and Ipswich. plus a little bit about each producer.

Brown & Gammonhttp://myspace.com/brownandgammon

Melodic, reggae-influenced bliss. Brown & Gammon is really talented, and has already had two tunes released on the one and only Circus Records; the brilliant 160bpm tune ‘The Bad Bounce’ and the dutty ‘Painkillers’, which we’ve wacked on the mix for you.

Bravado - http://myspace.com/bravadodubstep

Bravado has a fresh style, heavily influenced by film soundtracks, and composers such as John Williams and John Powell. He’s remixes are already getting noticed, and he’s had two released on iTunes, check out Dubsilo’s Interview with him. Word on the street is he’s supporting Stenchman next month, so watch this space geez.

Vibrant – http://soundcloud.com/vibrant

Vibrant’s producing skills have really taken a step up in 2010. He has a unique style, with extremely dutty bass, which is really evident in his epic eight minute remix of Voscillate by Flux Pavilion. His drum & bass tunes are also absolute bangers. Badman.

AZZA – http://soundcloud.com/azza-1

In a word:  HEAVY. Visceral chugging bass with sick samples. This producer’s got filthy written all over him.

Intrinsik (A.K.A. Deezy) – http://soundcloud.com/intrinsik

A Drum and Bass producer at heart, his tunes have a jump up feel to them. His banging  DnB remix of Enter Shikari won their competition and can be purchased on vinyl. His “Lost Remix” of Voscillate shows off his incredible bass synths.

I taught junior high students with learning disabilities and helped them
overcome their reading problems, but they still could not spell well.
I have to admit that I am a culprit of a few of these.
It’s funny that I didn’t realize until now that I was making a mistake!
    Thanks for the post. Here’s to a better-spelled 2012.
